Direct Primary Care is not insurance and does not replace it. Many members pair their care plan with a high-deductible or catastrophic health plan for hospital stays, specialists, and emergencies.
Most of your care is included
Your monthly fee covers nearly everything you'll need for routine primary care — including office visits, preventive care, chronic disease management, virtual visits, and direct access to your provider.
A small number of in-office procedures that require specialized equipment, medications, or disposable medical supplies have a separate fee. Examples include cryotherapy, incision and drainage, complex wound care, and certain joint or trigger-point injections.
You'll always know the cost before anything is performed. We'll talk it through with you and get your go-ahead first — so there are never surprise bills.
Many laboratory tests and medications are also available at discounted wholesale pricing, helping keep your healthcare costs as low as possible.

Common questions about pricing
Can I use my HSA or FSA to pay?
As of January 1, 2026, federal rules changed to allow many people to use HSA funds toward qualifying Direct Primary Care fees. FSA eligibility depends on your specific plan, so check with your FSA administrator or tax professional.
Do I still need insurance if I have DPC?
Yes. Direct Primary Care covers your everyday primary care; you still need insurance for hospital stays, specialists, and emergencies. Many members pair it with a high-deductible or catastrophic plan so routine care stays predictable while their plan protects them against major events.
Is there a contract or cancellation penalty?
No. DPC is designed to be flexible rather than a long-term contract, and at Pacora there are no cancellation penalties. We want you to stay because you're happy with your care — not because you're locked into a contract.
How does the college semester option work?
The college option is $75 per month, based on your proof of enrollment, so it coincides with the length of your semester — there's no minimum, which is helpful for shorter summer terms. It's designed to give students quality care on a semester timeline, and parents peace of mind while their student is away at school.
Is Direct Primary Care worth it?
For many people, yes. If you value same-day access, longer visits, and being able to reach your provider directly, the flat monthly fee often pays for itself in convenience and fewer urgent-care trips. It depends on how you use healthcare, but most members find the time, access, and peace of mind well worth the predictable cost.
